About Abseil

Abseil is an open-source collection of C++ library code designed to augment the C++ standard library. The Abseil library code is collected from Google’s own C++ code base, has been extensively tested and used in production, and is the same code we depend on in our daily coding lives.

In some cases, Abseil provides pieces missing from the C++ standard; in others, Abseil provides alternatives to the standard for special needs we’ve found through usage in the Google code base. We denote those cases clearly within the library code we provide you.

Abseil is not meant to be competitor to any standard library code; we’ve just found that many of these utilities serve a purpose within our code base, and we now want to provide those resources to the C++ community as a whole.

A fast and robust image library for Go built on libvips


This package wraps the core functionality of libvips image processing library by exposing all image operations on first-class types in Go. Additionally, it exposes raw access to call operations directly, for forward compatibility.

This library was inspired primarily based on the C++ wrapper in libvips.

The intent for this is to enable developers to build extremely fast image processors in Go, which is suited well for concurrent requests.

Libvips is generally 4-8x faster than other graphics processors such as GraphicsMagick and ImageMagick.

Curio is a library for performing concurrent I/O and common system programming tasks such as launching subprocesses and farming work out to thread and process pools. It uses Python coroutines and the explicit async/await syntax introduced in Python 3.5. Its programming model is based on cooperative multitasking and existing programming abstractions such as threads, sockets, files, subprocesses, locks, and queues. You’ll find it to be small and fast.
